Compact. Light. With the WOW effect.
The APC 30 is the compact entry point into the world of stabilised binoculars from KITE OPTICS – and at the same time one of the smallest stabilised binoculars on the market full stop. With a 30 mm objective, a weight of around 615 grams and dimensions that fit easily into any backpack, it is the ideal companion for travel, hiking and spontaneous observations. Anyone who raises it to their eyes for the first time and experiences the image simply holding still understands the WOW effect immediately.
The APC 30 is available in two magnification levels: 10× and 12×. The 10× version offers a generous field of view of 96 metres at 1,000 metres – ideal for anyone who wants to quickly gain an overview and locate subjects with ease. The 12× version pulls the image a little closer and is particularly well suited to those who want more detail without giving up the compact format.
Stabilisation that inspires
The heart of the APC 30 is the KDGS-1 – the Kite Dynamic Gimbal System – with a stabilisation correction angle of 3°, one of the highest values among compact stabilised binoculars. It compensates for trembling hands just as reliably as vibrations on an observation tower or the swell of a boat. The KT 1.0 software ensures that the system responds correctly to every type of movement – without delay, without a wavy image, without unpleasant side effects. Read more about the technology behind the KDGS system in our [blog article on stabilisation technology].
Automatic. Intelligent. Efficient.
APC mode activates the stabilisation automatically as soon as you raise the binocular to your eyes – and switches to standby when you lower it. No button press, no distraction. After prolonged inactivity, the system shuts down completely. With a battery life of 36 hours per set, the APC 30 stays reliably ready even on multi-day trips.
Optics that impress
The MHR Advance coating delivers contrast-rich, true-to-life images with a light transmission of 86% on the 10× model and 84% on the 12× model. The minimum focus distance of 2.6 metres allows detailed observations even at close range – an advantage that really comes into its own when watching insects, butterflies or plants.
Built for any weather
Waterproof to IPX7, nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging, operating temperature from −10°C to +50°C – the APC 30 is built for real outdoor conditions. Rain, mist, tropical humidity: it stays operational.
💡 My tip: The APC 30 is the perfect choice for anyone experiencing APC image stabilisation for the first time – in a device so light and compact that you will simply always have it with you. Once you have observed with one, it is hard to go back to a conventional binocular.
